
RETURNS & REFUNDS
1. SERVICES PROVIDED
Cambridge Bred Movers agrees to provide moving-related services including but not limited to:
Residential Moving
Commercial Moving
Loading & Unloading
Packing & Unpacking
Furniture Assembly/Disassembly
Local & Long-Distance Moving
Moving Labor Services
Additional services requested on moving day may result in additional charges.
2. ESTIMATES & BILLING
Any quote provided before the move is an estimate based on information supplied by the Customer.
Final charges may vary depending on:
Actual labor time
Distance traveled
Stair carries
Heavy or specialty items
Packing requirements
Delays beyond Company control
Additional requested services
Payment is due in full upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods may include cash, credit/debit card, Zelle, Cash App, bank transfer, or other approved methods.
3. DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS
All booking deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits reserve moving crews, trucks, equipment, and scheduling availability.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled move may result in additional cancellation charges.
Same-day cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of all deposits and additional fees.
4. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
The Customer agrees to:
Provide accurate move details before service.
Ensure all items are packed safely unless packing services were purchased.
Disconnect appliances before moving unless otherwise agreed.
Secure valuables, jewelry, cash, firearms, medication, and important documents separately.
Ensure walkways, elevators, and entrances are accessible.
Obtain any required building permits, elevator reservations, or parking permissions.
5. PROHIBITED ITEMS
Cambridge Bred Movers will not transport:
Illegal substances
Firearms or ammunition
Explosives or flammable materials
Hazardous chemicals
Perishable goods unless approved
Live animals
The Company reserves the right to refuse unsafe or prohibited items.
6. DAMAGE & LIABILITY
Cambridge Bred Movers will handle items with reasonable care and professionalism.
The Company is not responsible for:
Damage to items packed by the Customer
Particle board or ready-to-assemble furniture damage
Pre-existing damage
Mechanical or electrical malfunction of appliances/electronics
Damage caused by improper packing
Damage to items not disclosed as fragile
Claims for visible damage must be reported before the crew leaves the job site.
Any concealed damage claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of move completion.
The Company’s liability is limited to the terms permitted under applicable state law and agreed valuation coverage.
7. DELAYS & UNFORESEEN CONDITIONS
Cambridge Bred Movers is not liable for delays caused by:
Traffic
Weather
Elevator delays
Road closures
Customer delays
Building access issues
Circumstances beyond Company control
Additional waiting time may be billed accordingly.
8. STORAGE
If storage services are provided:
Storage fees must be paid according to agreed terms.
Cambridge Bred Movers reserves the right to place a lien on stored property for unpaid balances as allowed by law.
9. SAFETY & RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
The Company reserves the right to stop or refuse services if conditions are unsafe, dangerous, hostile, or violate company policies.
10. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state in which services are performed.
11. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement represents the entire understanding between Cambridge Bred Movers and the Customer and supersedes prior verbal or written agreements.
CANCELLATIONS
At Cambridge Bred Movers, we value our customers’ time and schedule each move carefully to provide reliable service. To protect our crews, equipment scheduling, and reserved time slots, the following cancellation policy applies to all booked moves.
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled move date will receive a refund of any payments made excluding the non-refundable booking deposit.
Cancellations made within 24–48 hours of the scheduled move may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the scheduled move cost or deposit amount.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled move, including same-day cancellations, may result in forfeiture of the deposit and additional cancellation charges.
Rescheduling
Customers may reschedule their move at no additional charge if notice is provided at least 48 hours in advance.
Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the move date are subject to availability and may include a rescheduling fee.
No-Show Policy
If our crew arrives at the scheduled location and the customer is unavailable, unable to provide access, or refuses service, the move may be considered a same-day cancellation and deposit will be forfeited.
Deposits
All booking deposits are non-refundable. Deposits secure your moving date, crew reservation, truck scheduling, and operational preparation costs. Deposits are applied toward the final balance of the move.
Emergencies & Exceptions
We understand emergencies happen. Cambridge Bred Movers reserves the right to review cancellation fees on a case-by-case basis for emergencies, severe weather, or other unavoidable circumstances.
Service Refusal
Cambridge Bred Movers reserves the right to refuse or stop service for unsafe working conditions, hazardous materials, illegal items, or undisclosed move conditions that significantly change the scope of work.
